Investment Planning Counsel (IPC)* has implemented policies and procedures in accordance with British Columbia's Unclaimed Property Act.
IPC considers property to be unclaimed when mail sent to the owner is returned undelivered or when three years have passed since a cheque was issued to the owner and it has not been cashed, and the property value is $50 or greater. IPC makes efforts to locate and notify owners of their unclaimed property by contacting their financial advisor and/or writing to the owner at their last known address, and we maintain a list of owners of unclaimed property who we have been unable to contact.
